How to compare the homes on your list

Home Compare organizes your own notes and preferences. Start with the fictional sample homes or add a home you are considering. The tool does not fetch listings or verify property details.

Add the basics. Enter a price, size and the details you want to remember.
Choose your priorities. Tell the tool which features matter most. Give each feature an importance from 1 to 3.
Rate each home. Score each feature from 1 to 5. Leave an unknown unrated and write down your question.
Compare 2 to 4 homes. Review prices, notes, questions and fit scores together. Flag a deal breaker so a high score does not hide it.

What does the fit score mean?

The score uses your ratings and importance weights. It appears only when every priority is rated. A high score means a home matches more of your stated preferences. It is not a property valuation, inspection, loan approval or recommendation to buy.
