Make expectations part of the process
The speaker describes talking through possible outcomes before they occur, then helping clients follow a consistent process. For real estate professionals, the useful question is whether clients know what could change, which decisions are theirs and how the team will communicate. Clear explanations can make a difficult update easier to understand, even when the outcome is disappointing.
Discuss the purpose of the purchase
The clip also distinguishes living in a home from treating it primarily as an investment. Those purposes can overlap, but they may create different priorities. Ask the buyer which features support daily life and what financial assumptions they are making. Neither a reassuring conversation nor a strong process can guarantee appreciation or eliminate every surprise.
Can better communication guarantee a smooth transaction?
No. It can clarify responsibilities and choices while problems are addressed. It does not remove financing, property or market uncertainty.
