YOUR MORTGAGE, EXPLAINED
Clarity, a workable strategy and readiness to act
The clip offers three preparation themes: clarity, certainty and commitment. Each is most useful when tied to a decision the borrower can actually control.

Clarity means working with current numbers
Begin with the payment and cash required under available terms. Include the rest of the household budget instead of treating an expected future rate decline as the affordability plan. Knowing the limits makes it easier to evaluate a real home or loan offer.
Strategy should acknowledge what remains uncertain
The speaker calls the second theme certainty. A plan can clarify goals and alternatives, but it cannot make market conditions, appraisal results or loan approval certain. Ask which assumptions would cause you to revise the plan.
Readiness includes a reason to say yes or no
Commitment does not have to mean buying immediately. It can mean collecting documents, deciding what would make a refinance worthwhile and knowing when a property is outside your limits. Preparation supports a decision when an opportunity appears without guaranteeing a successful outcome.
Does more preparation always guarantee success?
No. It can improve the quality of your decisions, while outcomes still depend on conditions beyond your control.
